Café del Mar is realising a very special album this season. Volume 18 is collaboration with the leading artists that have played a major role in the history of Café del Mar and shaped the chill-out music culture over the years. 20 of the tracks are especially composed for this project, which encapsulate the original spirit of Café del Mar. Volume 18 sees the return of many iconic artists such as Afterlife, Moby, Chicane, Bent and Underworld back to the series. Compiled by Toni Simonen, the album comes in a high quality embossed gatefold digipack format. A unique code will be added to the physical album which will offer exclusive access to bonus tracks and extras on the newly launched.

Brooklyn indie-pop act POP ETC (formerly The Morning Benders) are following up their socially responsible name change with a brand new studio album, due out June 12th via Rough Trade. Speaking to Pitchfork, frontman Chris Chu revealed that the self-titled LP was self-produced, with help from Danger Mouse and Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Lil Wayne). Chu also noted that two songs included on the previously-released POP ETC mixtape, "Halfway to Heaven" and "Everything Is Gone", will appear on the album. Stream them below.

The songs, which indicate a noticeable shift in the band's sound, are the by-product of a musical reawakening for Chu, who turned back to the music of his youth for inspiration. "Over the last few years, I rediscovered music that I loved from when I was a kid: Boyz II Men, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper. There's this whole slew of stuff that went over my head when I was a kid. At the time, I liked it because it made me happy and it sounded cool. Now, I think it's really amazingly well-crafted music."

Back before Brendan Canning was Broken Social Scene's Brendan Canning, he was part of a number of other groups, one of them called... Cookie Duster. (Which is apparently a nickname for a mustache. The more you know, etc.) Canning and his fellow Cookie Dusters (sorry, it's fun to type out) have come together again for a new album, the first since they released their self-titled debut album over a decade ago. It's called When Flying Was Easy, and it's out May 15 via SQE Music.

Guitarist Brian King recently talked to Pitchfork about recording the album, which was created in Vancouver at The Hive with engineer Jesse Gander, who the duo had previously worked with on Post-Nothing:

"On a lot of this new record, we actually tried to simulate the sound of what we thought the crowd would do during the songs," says King. "Dave (Prowse, drums) and I were in the studio just screaming out as if we were in the audience at our own show."

沒有Jody Wisternoff就沒有〈Mndcircus〉，沒有〈Mndcircus〉或許就不會有今天的Way Out West，那麼電舞音樂圈又會如何呢？十三歲贏得DMC Hip Hop Championships，隨後即在Smith & Mighty的Three Stripe Records發表首張Hip Hop單曲，並逐步在Rave派對上嶄露頭角。直到二十歲那年遇見Nick Warren，兩人一拍即合，Way Out West就此成立。也許在DJing的層級上，Jody Wisternoff的光芒總不及同袍Nick Warren來得耀眼出色，但若由創作的角度來看，Jody Wisternoff則略勝一籌。

自2010年開始於Anjunadeep發表單曲作品，到今年正式交出闖蕩電音圈二十五年首張個人全創作大碟，也許耳聰目明的樂迷早已在網路上聽過專輯的迷你混音版，但全輯十二首構築於浩室基礎的電氣作品，才能完全展現〈Mndcircus〉金曲製作人的創作功力。請來Pete Josef、Jonathan Mendelsohn兩位唱作人擔任客席歌手，包辦演唱〈How You Make Me Smile〉、〈Back To Me〉、〈Out Of Reach〉、〈Slowmotion〉、〈Just One More〉等五首作品，呈現的是浩室樂曲的完美型態。而〈Starstrings〉、〈Cold Drink, Hot Girl〉兩首早期舊作新編，則為Jody Wisternoff重要的兩首必聽經典，後者更有Beatport第一名的加持。

隨著專輯的推進，歌曲內的電氣肌理也愈發強烈，由〈Babylon Calling〉率先發難，經過〈Orinoco〉到專輯同名曲〈Trails We Blaze〉這一連串不安份竄動的電氣脈衝，讓人驚喜Jody Wisternoff竟也深諳「好酒沉甕底」的道理！

Among The Leaves is the 5th full length album by Mark Kozelek under the Sun Kil Moon moniker. Played almost entirely on nylon string guitar, this 17-song all original album was recorded between October 2011 and January 2012 in San Francisco. Among The Leaves - words which caught Mark’s attention from a John Connolly novel - finds Mark relaxed, singing playfully about his life as a musician while retaining the melancholic spirit of his 20 year catalog. Mark’s love for San Francisco and Northern California are at the heart of this new album. “My first album (Down Colorful Hill) was released in 1992” says Kozelek, “but creatively, I feel like I’m just beginning. The new album was written and recorded impulsively, without second guessing. I didn’t have that kind of confidence in the past.” Unlike Red House Painters’ epic Rollercoaster, described by Rolling Stone as “the slowest and mopiest self revelations ever put to tape” or Sun Kil Moon’s Ghosts of the Great Highway, which Billboard Magazine called “heartbreaking,” Among The Leaves displays a more raw and humorous side of Mark’s songwriting. Aaron Prellwitz, recording engineer of Red House Painters and all 5 Sun Kil Moon albums describes the latest effort as “wonderfully direct." Kozelek curiously ties together legends Joe Frazier, Bobby Fischer and Ed Gein in ‘The Winery’, ‘‘Song for Richard Collopy’ is a touching tribute to the late San Francisco guitar repairman, and ‘Sunshine In Chicago’ – written just before taking the stage at a Chicago venue last year – is a funny, self deprecating poke at life on the road. Though Among The Leaves is mostly in the solo, nylon string style of Admiral Fell Promises, a new ensemble of players joined Mark for a portion of the record, recalling the same spirit as April and Tiny Cities, but with a fresh, new sound.

揮別了一段使人發愁的苦澀戀情後，長達一年的時間，洛杉磯前衛搖滾樂隊Ima Robot靈魂人物Alex Ebert，將自己孤立於與世隔絕的陋室，遠離派對與毒品，由內而外徹底洗滌，然後一個名為Edward Sharpe的人格由體內覺醒，分裂而出。然而，身為被派來拯救人類的彌賽亞，Edward Sharpe卻老是受女孩和愛情吸引而分神，這在這其中，一個擁有明朗高亢嗓音的女孩Jade Castrinos，更成為了Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros成軍的契機。

Japanese wunderkind Shin Nishimura has had releases through DUBFIRE's label SCI-TEC, along with many other vital contemporary labels, and he is the head of Plus Records. His fourth album is coming out worldwide via Intergroove.

This release comes from top Japanese label FOUNTAIN MUSIC and its sub-label PLAZA IN CROWD. "Mash" is a superbly tight production, combining as it does U.K. beats, hard grooves, and the notion of a bigger picture work-of-art: Think innovative stuff that will reinvent tomorrow's techno. Plaza In Crowd's concept - all mankind in one party - is personified with the opening track 'Unity'.

'Earl's Court' boasts cool synths and rhythmic percussion with a sophisticated femme fatale voice sample to produce a slamming track. 'Neal's Yard' is unleashes a wicked groove reminiscent of the best Janet Jackson - rap and minimal rhythms creating a gorgeous sound. 'Milden Hall' goes all sensitive and spacey, with a vocal sample that personifies the over all grandeur of this album.

Intelligent electronica jumps to mind on 'Acid Polka', while 'Frustration Nukes' reminds us of Shin's origins (Japan) and inspires a protest reaction with sublime energy. "Mash" is, without doubt, Plaza In Crowd's peak release of this century to date.

Since opening its doors in 1991, Ministry of Sound has gone onto become a flagship for British youth culture; an iconic brand and logo, the world's largest independent record label, a multimedia entertainment business and the world's most famous club. Today, the club remains at the forefront of the global dance music scene, having just recently won the 'Best Global Soundsystem' at the IDMA Awards and been voted the best club in the UK in DJ Mag. It really needs no introduction.

It's most famous night 'Saturday Sessions' was conceived 5 years ago and has since seen over half a million clubbers pass through its doors.

This special compilation heavily reflects the artists who have played under the Saturday Sessions roster. We've selected tracks from our favourite residents and future stars. The album artwork is taken from our fresh flyer design and is inspired by the addition of our brand new lazers and the light it creates.

CD 1 The Box
Disc 1 represents the sound of the most famous room in UK clubbing history 'The Box'. Impressively all artists on this disc have either graced our decks in the last year or are booked to perform this coming year. Our mix starts off with the huge Eric Prydz Remix of 'Midnight City' by M83 and rises straight into 'Antidote' from the most famous trio in Electronic Dance Music right now the Swedish House Mafia. The mix then escalates into a culmination of Big Room House with tracks from Chuckie, Nicky Romero, Wolfgang Gartner, Fedde Le Grand, Basement Jaxx, Funkagenda and Laidback Luke alongside remixes from Axwell & Michael Woods.

CD 2 103
Disc 2 reflects the change and contrast in sound, focusing on the Deep and Tech House that reverberates in the'103' room on a weekly basis. The mix kicks off with Mark Knight's killer crossover track 'Alright' followed by the massive Jamie Jones Remix of Storm Queen. The mix gets deeper still, encompassing tracks from Maceo Plex, Julio Bashmore, Oliver $ and Subb-Ann before ending in style with driving Tech House from Joris Voorn, Jay Lumen and UMEK.

A huge name on the club-house scene, pioneer of the French Touch, Bob Sinclar's career really took off in the 1990s. From a soul and hip-hop background, he has never limited himself to just house and techno, making him one the most eclectic artists in his profession. Now a world-famous DJ and star of clubs around the globe, he has crafted a host of succesful remixes and released hit after hit, including "The Beat Goes On", "What A Wonderful World", "World Hold On", "Love Generation" and "Rock This Party".

After the release of his last album "Made In Jamaica", which revisited his biggest hits in a reggae style accompanied by the most talented musicians in Jamaica (Sly and Robbie), Bob Sinclar decided to go back to his roots.

With Disco Crash, the star DJ returns to the style that made him succesful around the world: a smart mix of genres and sounds, resulting in firm house.

Bob Sinclar has invited the star of dancehall Sean Paul to participate on "Tik-Tok", the first single taken from the new album. It's a devastating piece of electronic ragga, based around a sample from the hit song "No Limit" by 2 Unlimited, a rhythmic and seductive track that evokes the DJ's previous productions.

Bob Sinclar reinvents disco with the album's second hit "Far l'Amore", featuring the famous Raffaella Carrà. Actress, muse and veritable icon of 70s pop culture in Italy, Raffaella Carrà has marked entire generations with her hits and is instantly recognisable. This new version follows the style that has given Bob Sinclar a huge number of hits. Both singles were worldwide hits and are classics already.

Masterpiece brings you legends from the world of music that have one unique story to tell through their own influences and inspirations. A collection like no other that really holds its creator in serious high regard. Masterpiece welcomes none other than Andrew Weatherall.

Andrew Weatherall's history goes back far to the beginning of the British acid house scene, having swung gigs for himself at Danny Rampling's legendary Shoom night off the back of the sort of sounds Andrew showcased on "that" compilation for Nuphonic - entitled 9 O'Clock Drop. Subsequently, his
connections with the original Boys Own record label (and fanzine) led to artist releases, remixes and a
string of legendary London clubs such as Blood Sugar, Circulation and of course Sabresonic (where
the fledgling David Holmes cut his teeth). It was through Primal Scream though that Andrew first made his name. As the producer of Screamadelica he took The Primals, twisted them (best not to ask how) and in turn created the hybrid of narcotically-challenged rock and acid house now seen as a generation-defining release.

Over the years Andrew has been involved in many different artist projects including Sabres of Paradise, Two Lone Swordsman, Andrew & The Boardmen to name but a few. All the while Andrew has been maintaining his output through various alternative projects. In between DJing all over the world, with residencies at Fabric (London), Back to Basics (Leeds), and Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), he also finds time to run the monthly A Love From Outer Space night at The Drop in London, which has been so successful it now travels around Europe the festival circuit and clubs worldwide.

CD1, entitled simply 'Balance' is a subtle and expertly crafted mix that balances a plethora of diverse tracks, often three at a time, to create an expansive but well focused journey. CD2 continues the delve into the NRK catalogue, opening up with perhaps one of the defining deep house records of our time, François K's "Time & Space", swiftly plucking another bomb from the vaults in Tom Middleton's remix of Kerri Chandler's "Bar A Thym". The underground vibes continue with the luscious King Britt remix of "Innocent", Nick Holder's classic "Summer Daze" and DJ Q's pounding and hypnotic "Superclique". Throughout it's 15 year tenure, NRK have always reflected the evolving sounds of electronic dance, and the trio of tracks that round off CD2 are some classic, analogue techno sounds from Paul Woolford, Ed Davenport and the legend that is Carl Craig, confirming that NRK has been a label that stands by quality underground music, regardless of the many sub genres out there.

CD3 is a bonus mix CD from NRK founder, DJ and producer, Nick Harris. With not an easy task to pick out a CDs worth of 170 releases and upwards to 700 tracks & remixes, Harris deftly programs and mixes some of the standout tracks from over the years along with various Dub Mixes, Bonus Beats and underground goodies from the vaults. And so, along with many of the catalogue favorites, Harris pulls out tracks and remixes from Spencer Parker, Pete Heller, Kings Of Tomorrow, Trackheadz, Joey Negro and Chris Lattner, creating the perfect mix to encapsulate NRK's forward thinking music policy and ear for an underground dancefloor bomb!

the first 400 copies of the vinyl will include a special mystery jets comic. mystery jets release their fourth studio album 'radlands' on rough trade. the album was recorded in austin, texas and london and was co-produced by mystery jets and dan carey. ''we've always wanted to make a record in america and after touring 'serotonin' the time felt perfect to go and do it. our first three albums were entirely conceived and recorded in london so going out to austin felt like the furthest place from everything we knew.'' ''we arrived with a handful of songs, but one in particular felt like it captured the spirit of why we had come there. it was called 'radlands' (a fusion of the 1970s terrence malick film 'badlands' and redlands, keith richard's sussex estate), which is also what we named our studio; a big old wooden house on the banks of the colorado river.''

Chus L. Esteban aka DJ Chus started his professional career at the end of the 80's in his home town, amidst the full-blown euphoria of the acid-house movement at 'Alien', one of the first clubs of the famous Kapital Group. In August of '92 he was invited to play at the mythical Portuguese club Kadoc, where he was fortunate enough to share the booth with the best international DJs of the time It was then that his style, influenced by the Portuguese and American underground sounds, definitely converged into house.

When In September '94 Madrid's first house club, Teatro Kapital, was inaugurated, Chus became the clubs first emblematic resident DJ, lasting an extraordinary 10 years. His innate desire to create and improve led him to try his hand at production, with the guidance of the then up and coming David Penn, a logical and well chosen step in his career.

The Iberican Sound is his trademark, a personal vision of house music, which has contributed positively to the worldwide electronic music scene, and which opened the door for things to come, the opportunity to play in Ibiza, a passport to the DJMag's Top 100 list and the recognition of the whole international community reflected in the many awards Chus has collected throughout his career. All this has culminated in a recording legacy of over 20 years in the form of original productions or remixes either solo, with David Penn, Pablo Ceballos or many other partners in crime.

Chus has become a global artist playing at some of the world's most renowned clubs with regular residencies at Pacha NYC, Space Miami, Stereo Montreal or Ageha Tokyo to name but a few.

Here House Masters DJ Chus collects 30 years of DJ experience and 10 years of production talent and distils into one easy to consume package for house fans the World over. Overview
Style without substance is, more often than not, a short-lived path. And while a casual glance over Michael Canitrot's career to date shows that there's plenty of the former about the French DJ and producer, you don't have to look that much further to establish that he also has plenty of talent with which to compliment his fashionable façade.

Much of Canitrot's career has been based around his native Paris, and while this is undoubtedly the place where he is best known - thanks in no small part to his infamous 'So, Happy In Paris?' parties, which have attracted the cream of the city's clubbing elite for the past decade - in the last few years, Michael's star has begun to shine increasingly brightly on the global stage.

In the past, Michael has been asked perform live at exclusive events hosted by brands such as Dior, Cartier, Versace, D&G and Prada, crafting custom sets with which to entertain the VIPs in attendance. This was capped off in 2010 when Michael was asked to DJ at arguably the most glamorous events on the world stage; the International Film Festival at Cannes. Here he entertains the A list guests as they walk the red carpet and plays host to a number of exclusive parties during the event.
